Pet owners should provide the following during your stay:

While in the Resort please be informed of the following:

  • Animals are allowed as a pet in the Resort.
    Animal: a vertebrate, such as a dog or a cat, reared and tended by human as a pet, an economic animal or a laboratory anima
  • A maximum of two pets are permitted per room.
  • Keep your pet leashed at all times as you head out of your room and must be accompanied by their owners in public places at all times.
  • All pets must be clean, well-groomed, and completely free of fleas and ticks.
  • Refrain from bringing your pet/s in common and recreational areas within the property such as the restaurants (but allowed in the balcony area where available), Onsen Futagoyama, swimming pool, and Flow Retreat. 
  • Pets are allowed to stay at the CHU Grassland, if available, provided that their waste will be cleaned and will be disposed of by their owners in secured disposable bags. At all times, the guest shall maintain and keep the property in a good and sanitary condition.
  • The guest agrees not to leave any pet/s unattended. Dogs left unattended, for a period of more than forty-eight (48) hours, shall be considered abandoned and shall be reported to the proper authorities. The registered guest shall indemnify Hotel Management for any costs, losses, or damages which may result from such action being taken.
  • All equipment required for the upkeep, and feeding of pets are to be provided by the guest. Under no circumstances shall any equipment within the property be used for animal use, this includes the use of a hotel bathtub, available towels, and linen for your pets. Any use of linen for their pets is to incur corresponding charges. Stained linen will be charged twice the regular laundry rate while permanently stained linens will be charged with a corresponding replacement fee.
  • Pet owners will be required to promptly address any complaints made by fellow guests regarding noise or any other such disturbance that may be caused by the pet/s. In the event that any pet becomes overly disruptive or in any way aggressive towards other guests or employees, the pet must be removed from the property. In the event that any pet is considered dangerous by the Hotel Management, it shall immediately be removed from the property by the guest.
  • During any housekeeping service the guest is requested to remove their pet from the room The guest may call the Housekeeping Department to arrange a convenient time to service the apartment. If Housekeeping service is not required, the guest may activate the privacy sign in the room.
  • The guest shall give a security deposit, equivalent to NT$2,000 per room upon check-in. The security deposit will cover any damages incurred which may include but are not limited to, stained bedding, stained carpet, stained linen, scratches on the furniture, scratches on the floor, infestation, extra cleaning that may be required, and/or lost revenue charges while the unit is out of service due to cleaning and repairs. The room/s will be inspected upon check out. After confirmation and clearance that no damage was found in the room and no extra cleaning efforts were required, the security deposit shall be returned.
  • Any damage caused by the pet(s) shall be charged to the registered guest and must be paid immediately upon the presentation of an invoice.
  • CHU Resort and its employees shall not be liable for any loss, injuries, or illness of any pet for any reason whatsoever.
  • The guest shall strictly comply with the Pet Policy Agreement and other rules and regulations which may be issued by CHU Resort. CHU Resort reserves the right to require room changes, removal of pet/s from the property, refuse or discontinue service without refund if, in the hotel’s sole discretion, the pet is considered dangerous, unhealthy, or likely to frighten, harm, disrupt resort guests, has damaged resort property, or for failure to abide by these policies.
  • The guest accepts full responsibility for any and all liability, claims, losses, costs, and expenses including reasonable attorney fees, for personal injury or property damage that may be caused by or attributed to their pet/s. The guest agrees to make any reimbursement for such damages on demand.
  • The guest agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the CHU Resort, its owners, and employees from any and all liability, claims, losses, costs and expenses including reasonable attorney fees arising out of or relating to any claim for personal injury or property damage caused by or attributed to their pet/s.

All large wellness group classes and workshops such as yoga, meditation, inspirational talks, art, and dance therapies are held here.

Shala means “home” in Sanskrit, we invite you to feel at home and be yourself when you visit Flow Yoga Shala.

Flow Team

Lydia Chang, Flow COO & Program Director

Lydia came from a yoga family, and she started learning yoga and meditation from her father at the age of 10 years old. In 2016, Lydia took a leap of faith to leave behind her successful career in Canada as a corporate accountant, to start her own wellness retreat center in Taiwan. Since then, she focused on teaching and guiding personal wellness retreats and mindfulness workshops. Lydia has led over 300 group wellness retreats, and her clients include Google, PwC, GSK, lululemon, and retreat guests from 50+ countries. This year, Lydia is invited to become Wellness Director of Flow Retreat in Hualien, Taiwan. Through Flow Retreat, Lydia is looking forward to expanding her retreat offerings to helping more people discover balance in life. 

Lydia is a certified Canadian Yoga Alliance ERYT500 teacher, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Laughter Yoga Leader, and also Taiwan lululemon legacy ambassador. Lydia’s teaching incorporates nature based healing, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and Ayurveda. She is known for her warm and thoughtful teaching style, making ancient wisdom practical in the modern life.


Dori Tsao, Yoga Teacher & Retreat Leader

Dori had her first experience with yoga was back in college. Slowly she is fall in love with yoga, she is able to find a sense of calmness and concentration, during the process of practice. With the accumulation of experience, she found and understood that yoga is not an exercise, but a way of living, breathing, eating, thinking, letting go and returning to zero. 

Dori has traveled to India, Sri Lanka and Bali to study scriptures with many masters. She has 200 hours certification from the American Yoga Alliance RYT, has over 500 hours immersed Kriya practice with her Guru and daily devoted to spiritual practice. She is good at teaching Himalayan Kriya Yoga, classical Hatha Yoga. Dori’s yoga class focuses on synchronizing Prana and Asana, using static and dynamic methods to find the inner peace flowing between inhalation and exhalation. Also through the adjustment of breathing to stretch muscles, strengthen stamina and lead students listen to the energy and messages from our body.


Prabhat Bhadauria, Yoga Teacher & Retreat Leader

Prabhat holds an engineering and masters degree, has worked for big and small tech companies, founder of startups, an avid explorer and a nature lover. He was born in India in 1984 and has lived in Taiwan since 2012, a place which he loves and now calls home.

In 2018 he shifted his focus on hobbies and mindful living and got the calling to learn yoga. In 2020 he went to Rishikesh to learn more about this ancient science. It was at this time that the coronavirus pandemic struck and he spent the next two years in Rishikesh learning Yoga from true masters. He is now a certified Yoga Alliance teacher (500 RYT), founder of Hub of Yoga and working to promote traditional yoga practices in Taiwan.


Nico, SPA Therapist

Nico, a passionate therapist, has transformed her enthusiasm into a profession. Since 2016, she has been studying techniques in skincare and body massage with the aim of providing relaxation and balance for both body and mind. With previous experience working in the SPA department of a five-star hotel, she learned how to provide high-quality services to meet the needs of guests.

In 2023, Nico was honored to become an therapistat the Flow Retreat- Prana Spa. She is dedicated to using her professional knowledge and warm hands to help guests achieve physical and mental balance and relaxation. Through skillfully blended essential oils and delightful massage techniques, she assists clients in releasing muscle tension, alleviating nerve stress, and enjoying a wonderful experience in the healing ambiance of fragrant therapy.

Nico looks forward to seeing guests feel relaxed and leave with a smile at the end of each session.


Belinda, Flow Retreat Host

​Belinda is in love with delightful sensation after yoga practice, not only the body open up, thoughts also becoming clear. Since join Flow Team she start to realize that yoga is not just a physical practice but a way of living. A simple practice everyday is powerful nourishment for oneself.


Sabrina, Flow Retreat Host

In the past, Sabrina was in a hectic and high-pressure work environment, She neglected her own physical and mental health. In this beautiful land of Hualien, She is rediscovering the balance of body and mind.
Through teaching mindfulness meditation courses, She guide students in practicing stillness, meditation, and self-awareness, helping them rediscover the tranquility and health of the soul.


Yuri, Flow Retreat Host

Yuri is the host at Flow Retreat. She is a Vata domainat nature enthusiast. Two unexpected journeys sparked her love for permaculture living, Raja Yoga practices, vipassana practices, somatic psychology, and biodynamic therapy. Currently, she is embracing a daily life in Hualien, richly woven with the philosophy of the five elements and Ayurveda.

Wild Monkey Adventure Jungle, located in the north of the Coastal Mountain, allows you to swing like a monkey in the forest and experience the beautiful scenery and sounds in nature. The Swiss-made safety system ensures the safety of zip-lining, on which you can enjoy the wind blowing by the ears and the scream echoing in the valley, as well as the joy brought by your sweat and enthusiasm.

  • The whole activity is in the forest; please dress casually with sneakers. Please do not wear slippers or strapless sandals. 
  • Please prepare your own mosquito repellent.
  • This activity will suddenly increase your heart rate and make your muscles tense. Please make sure your heart and lungs are healthy.
  • Those who are pregnant, disabled, epileptic, or just recovered from sever diseases are suggested not to participate in this activity.
  • For other physical conditions you may be concerned, please consult with the staff in advance and register after confirmation. Participants are responsible for their own participation.
